to UK US CONNECTIONS (UKUSC) A Gateway to Communication launched 2007 for British Expats AND individuals who have lived in Britain and loves the UK - thank you for visiting our website.
I've been living in Atlanta, USA for 7 years now and I love it! It continues to be one of my most interesting and challenging life experience to date. When my husband and I first moved here, although we were excited and embraced the idea of relocating, it was still daunting!!! It was in fact a huge culture shock. I am sure many of you can identify with this.
I didn't realize how much I would eventually miss the UK and grow to truly appreciate it.
Sooooooo, I decided to create this UK US CONNECTIONS website for several reasons. Personally, we initially didn't know anyone upon our arrival here, and it took a while before we met some great people and forged valuable friendships. Suffice to say I feel incredibly fortunate today as I have a fabulous group of friends who are like family.
Additionally, I know we've all had some difficult and challenging times due to a lack of information, and/or support and, to this day, I still continue to learn something new everyday. Last but not least, LETS KEEP IT REAL, WE JUST MISS "OUR STUFF" sometimes don't we!
I hope this forum will both attract and be useful to individuals who currently reside in the UK and may be thinking about moving to Atlanta and/or other parts of the USA.
Each day here results in a new lesson learnt and I would like to create a forum where together we can continue to enrich our lives and...
